_ _______What is the plan now that the albums out?
Kevin: We are playing these release shows. This is the last of a little three part tour that was New York, San Francisco, and LA. Then we go home for a minute and then we are going on a big US tour in september and october with this band from Chicago called Disappears. Then there's some other international stuff coming together so hopefully we will be on tour for awhile, chillin.
Tell me about Slumberland Records? Shawn: Mike Schulman runs Slumberland Records. I think it started out as kind of an outlet for releasing his records and friends records. It started in DC and expanded into a notorious indie-pop-punk label. We met Mike through email, because he wanted us to be on the label and we were looking for a new label. We met up with him and had a pretty wild night where we jammed in our rehearsal space until like 4 am. I remember him tackling me into a speaker cabinet that night. Anyways it was really important for us to have a label that we could relate to and look up to on a personal level not just professionally. So we recorded Jinx in Oakland which is where he moved the label, and it came out after we had moved to New York. What is the music scene in New York like right now?
Kevin: It seems more nebulous in New York, like rather than bands playing with each other all the time, it's like bands hanging out with each other more so. It's more of a social thing. I think there's just a strong infrastructure in New York, like there's HELLA places to play, a lot of music fans that will come out to lots of shows. A lot of people in NY go to shows
